Coral Gardening
They really do grow like wildflowers depending on the light, water flow and nutrients.
When I first got into this,it was all about the fish.
Now I'm head over heels over sexy corals!

It's not easy being Blu
Well for me when I hear Blue I think of things I love, like the ocean, the shine off a colbalt blue 64' Impala, or the some music I can sip a beer to while I puff on a cigar.
Maybe it's because my favorite color is blue, or the fact I used to watch Cookie Monster tear up those cookies and he would make me crack up as a booger eating kid! LoL :D
What ever it is, the color blue is a part of my life and I embrace it.
Here are a few pictures from The Blu Reef at night under the black lights.
Aussie Metalic Trumpet Coral
Candy grubbing on anything she can find.
My wife watching Goober eating algae.
Well everything is better blue IMO, so I'm going to end this post with
Houston's own... BLUE OCTOBER

Always stealing the show.
You damn Goober!
By far the Orange spotted Goby is one of the most active and entertaining of the marine life that I have coexisting as "tank mates".
He starts off by popping his head out a tunnel he made by scooping sand and rocks by mouth, shifting sand thru his gills. What a site to see, everyday he's shuffling. Hahaha
Not only that but he tends to bite off more than he can chew, taking chunks of Algae too big to eat in one bite and having staire downs with the Blue Reef Queen,Candy formally known as CandyMan.
Goober the Goby has been a great addition to the BluReef ,and he even allows others to share his cave that he dug out at night.
The only thing negitive is that he will move corals if not bonded by epoxy or glue.
He thinks he owns the joint :)

Hamilton Loomis... The Gulf Coast Native son.
Hamilton Loomis : Build Me a Castle
Hearing this jam reminds me of my many nights and days crusin down I-45 South with my fishing buddy Joe,a ice chest full of beer, four fishing poles ,bait bucket and my trusty cast net.
I'm looking forward to seeing Hamilton Loomis live one of these days, one of the great Blues artist from the Gulf Coast.

I can't keep my hands out this aquarium! Feb 2 Rescaping
I can't seem to get my mushrooms to streach out due to increase water flow from my Hydor 425 powerhead.Placement has been the issue.I really want the Tonga Branch to be covered with Ricoshroons but its been hard to keep them in place.I might just need to bust out with the superglue!
I hope you enjoy the new pixs ,I'm starting to get the hang of this Salty Life and Blogging.
